Camino Law is a women-owned law firm based in Greensboro, North Carolina and serves the surrounding areas. We are moms, daughters, sisters, aunts and friends of children, whether related to them by blood or not. We handle child custody, surrogacy, general family law and immigration cases, with an emphasis on protecting and advocating for children.
We are not your typical law firm. We get it, lawyers get a bad reputation and maybe you've always disliked lawyers. Well, we are on a mission to change the narrative, and here's how:
We don't have a corporate-looking office, we work in a refurbished two-story house near downtown. Our office furniture came from consignment stores, or Etsy, or Wayfair, and have the kids of our clients create the artwork on our walls.
We are very modern in how we operate -- we use Slack for internal communications and a tech stack that keeps us efficient and lean. We use the premier programs on the market for case management and client communication, and while we do have physical files for court, we are a completely digital law firm and everything is stored securely in the cloud.
We are very focused on how working with us makes you feel. Our space is designed to be calming, our demeanor relaxed, and since among us we have years of customer service experience. We have worked in retail, taught swim classes, bartended, waited tables, scooped ice cream, checked coats, managed shoe stores, answered phones at a bank, and rung up items at Walmart. We have been yelled at by the guy who wants food sent back to the kitchen or the lady who demands to speak to the manager. We've been there. Before we are lawyers, we are humans. The empathy and resilience we gained in these past experiences feeds into our passion and dedication to our clients.
We also have a kids room, an office dog and a Little Free Library out front.
